It means more when there’s money on it

As the advertisement says: it means more when there’s money on it, and in our house, every single game between anyone at all means at least a little.

I had England to win two-nil on Saturday night. If only I knew someone who was a decent tipster.

  • This comment is not related to this article, but I for lack of finding a way of contacting Mr Hornby I will write my bit here!

I am listening to Fever Pitch as an audiobook and today I ordered 3 copies of Fever Pitch as presents for my English students. I live in Buenos Aires and teach English and I am going to use Fever Pitch to inspire some of my football mad students. (Partly also because I want to convert them to be Gooners, of course).

My question is: when is Fever Pitch II coming out?! I’m sure I’m not the first to ask this, but there are so many things in Fever Pitch that match my feelings about football and about life, but the funny thing it was written when I was 6. I’d love to know what you – Mr Hornby – thought/think of the period 1991-2014 and the experiences along the way.

    I look forward to it!

    Yours,
    Christopher
